About

At the Museum of Northwest Art annual auction in 2023 next to my painting ”High Summer” (sold).

Born in France from a French mother and Tunisian father, both artists, Annabelle also spent part of her life in Tunisia, and was early in her life exposed to the visual and scenic arts. This later influenced her profession as dance teacher and choreographer. She would paint in her free time, but now retired, Annabelle is fully turning her creativity from choreography towards painting. Self taught, Annabelle draws her inspiration and color palette from her North African cultural heritage, spirituality, and the beautiful Pacific Northwest where she now lives. Suffering from MS and the physical and cognitive issues it causes, she also sees painting as medicine. For her, creating is a need, and the deep focus it requires, the process, is spiritual in nature, it is meditative.
